The Community Service Work Student (CSWS) program is a Federal program which allows student employees awarded Federal Work Study dollars to work at local non-profit organizations to provide services to benefit the local community. Areas of community service include health care, child care, literacy, education, welfare, social services, and housing/neighborhood improvements.

Eligibility for the Program

  • Provides part time employment opportunities while enrolled in classes.
  • Available to any student with financial needs and qualifies for federal work study, including undergraduate, graduate, or professional students.
  • International students are NOT eligible for this program, since these positions are funded through the Federal Financial Aid Work Study Program.
